Management Team

Raymond is the Chief Executive Officer at GSF Asia Pacific and is Chair of the Advisory Committee. He has over 17 years of financial markets experience at leading institutions based in New York, London, with the last 9 years in Beijing and Hong Kong.

Prior to GSF Asia Pacific, Larry was the Chief Executive Officer at Fosun Asset Management Limited, where he oversaw the asset management business of the group. Prior to Fosun, Larry worked at Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for managing special situation, private equity, and distressed investments across Asia.

At Fore Research and Management, Raymond was Head of China and in charge of credit investment strategies for Asia based in New York and London.

Raymond holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing and a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. Larry is a CFA charter holder.

Robert is a Partner and Global CIO at GSF Asia Pacific, where he oversees the firm’s trading functions, and is also a Lead Portfolio Manager on many of the firm’s special situation offerings. Li joined in 2013 and manages portfolios for private clients, charities, trusts and pensions. She joined GSF Asia Pacific in 2009 after 19 years at Aegon Asset Management where she specialised in international equities and managed institutional and retail portfolios as well as leading a team of investment analysts. Li has over 30 years of investment experience, holds the Stock Exchange's Securities Industry Diploma, is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and holds a MA (Hons) degree in Economics and French from Glasgow University.

Mr. Goldberg joined the team as a Portfolio Manager in March 2011 and is primarily focused on identifying individual opportunities. Prior to joining GSF Asia Pacific, Mr. Goldberg was a senior research analyst at PMA Investment Advisors. He started his career in the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs in New York and subsequently joined their Equity Capital Markets team in Hong Kong. Mr. Goldberg graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Economics, Mathematics and Statistics.

Andrew is Director of Institutional Clients and has over 21 years of financial markets experience and over 15 years of dedicated Asian investing experience.

Prior to GSF Asia Pacific, he was a Managing Director and the Head of Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore of ADM Capital, where he was responsible for origination, execution of the private credit investment strategy in Southeast Asia. He has extensive experience in the Asian credit and special situations space having worked at Nomura, CarVal Investors and Goldman Sachs. He has invested in diversified sectors, geographies and through multiple credit cycles in both performing and distressed situations across Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Andrew started his career at Goldman Sachs International in London in 1999. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Imperial College, London and a Master of Science (Finance) from the London Business School.

Anthony joined the company in March 2015 as a Senior Client Portfolio Manager after 6.5 years with Rowan Dartington where he was Head of Bristol Discretionary and was responsible for directly managing portfolios totalling £250m and their AIM BPR portfolios. Prior to this Anthony worked at Lloyds Private Banking for over 27 years during which time he undertook a number of roles including financial planning, portfolio management before eventually moving into the High Net Worth offer for clients with over £2m of investible assets. He is a Fellow of both the CISI and Personal Financial Society. Originally born in Marseille, France, He moved to Bristol in 1990.

Fredrik joined GSF Asia Pacific from a very different role as CFO of a local non-think tank in Hong Kong, where he was immersed in social and policy-making matters. This followed time spent working in the retail, transportation, logistics and professional services sectors across Asia, Latin America and Europe.

Fredrik’s broad interests and experience reflect in his ambition to deliver the highest quality experience to clients in all aspects of policy management, information sharing, client support and service quality.

An avid learner, Fredrik is a polyglot who wastes no opportunity to travel, try new challenges such as scaling the globe’s various mountains, or to join a trivia team.

Mr. Kang is responsible for asset allocation between strategies and asset classes. Prior to GSF Asia Pacific, Mr. Kang was the chief portfolio manager of Fore Opportunity Funds since their inception, at Fore Research & Management, LP. From 1993 to 2002, he was the head of sales and marketing of Asian derivatives at Credit Lyonnais, where he was credited as a pioneer in Asian equity derivatives. Prior to this, Mr. Kang worked at Merrill Lynch also in equity derivatives, Salomon Brothers in program trading, and at AT&T Bell laboratories in systems development and integration. Mr. Kang received his MPPM from Yale School of Management in 1993, holds a M.A.Sc. and a B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, and is currently an active board member of the International Centre of Finance and the Greater China Advisory Board at the Yale School of Management. In October 2010, Mr. Kang was named one of the 25 most influential people in Asian hedge funds by AsianInvestors.

Mr. Lam joined the team in October 2010 and is responsible for the firm's research office. Prior to joining GSF Asia Pacific, Mr. Lam was a Managing Director at Longridge Capital, which he cofounded, where he managed the Greater China Opportunistic Fund. Before that, Mr. Tsai also founded LCT Development in New York, which provided advisory services to firms looking to make asset acquisitions in Asia. From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Lam was the Director of Structured Investments at the Hypo Vereinsbank in New York. Mr. Lam received his MPPM from Yale School of Management in 1994, and holds a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the California State University.

Justin is the Compliance Oversight Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer at GSF Asia Pacific. He has worked in both the financial services and legal services industries. He joined GSF Asia Pacific in April 2018, having previously worked as the Compliance Oversight Officer at MeritKapital. He started his career interning at Goldman Sachs, Regulatory Internal Audit team. He is a graduate of the University of Warwick (BA Hons in Law and Business) and also holds a CISI Level 6 Investment Compliance professional qualification.
